I haven't really talked about how this is an all-weather door lock, but of course that's exactly what it is.Īs the pictures show, this is a beast of a lock and as you can imagine it has no problem taking on things like rain, snow, and anything else that Mother Nature can throw at it. But this doesn't really detract from the overall quality, and I'd consider it a fairly small gripe. In our experience, its a bit tough to turn, but this is also a tough lock, so it does almost make sense. Its actually a lock-turning mechanism, and, as far as they go, we've heard other customers complain that its a sticky one. If you look at it closely, you can see that it isn't even really a knob. My one complaint about this all-weather Code-A-Key door lock is that the "knob" you turn, which is quite heavy-duty, is a little tough to turn.

That said, if you want a lock where you can change the code with the push of a button, you are probably looking for more of a smart lock to begin with. To be honest, I didn't really look at them. I almost forgot to say that the Code-A-Key lock here comes with some fairly decent instructions. While some locks are keyless, they aren't always bump-proof because they still have a keyhole. Luckily, this is a bump proof lock as it has no keyhole by which to "bump" it. If you haven't heard of lock-bumping, it can be very scary to learn about, since it poses a huge threat to home security. I have to say, if there's one thing about this lock that I'm really glad about in retrospect is that its bump-proof. I will say that when we got this lock, we had barely any time to research it.
